Transforming Milton Road Library

Milton_Road_Library.jpgLabour Councillors recently managed to secure £100,000 of funding from the City Council towards community facilities to be provided in the new building being planned to replace the existing library. The new building will be largely paid for by the sale of flats to be built on the floor above.

Richard Robertson, chair of the Friends of Milton Road Library says: “Wide ranging consultation was carried out with the community and the facility will be highly flexible providing a new library and  also serving as  local community rooms- open  far more than the current 27 hours a week with a wide range of activities and possibly a café.”
