Milton Road Library update

Concerted community action, led by West Chesterton residents and strongly supported by County Councillor Jocelynne Scutt Library_Joc.pngand colleagues, has saved the 3rd floor of Cambridge Central Library from a business ‘takeover’.

Meanwhile  plans for Milton Library and a Community Hub await developments.  A developer had worked-up a design, but, the County Council’s General Purposes Committee decided that the Council should develop its own design for a Milton Road Library/Hub with revenue producing potential.

County Councillor Jocelynne Scutt says “Milton Road Library is a vital resource for our children, grandchildren and their children – as well as for all of us. I am working hard to make sure it has a successful long term future.”
