Kelley at work

I started Cambridge Farmers Outlet on Lensfield Road, with my partner Jona, in 2008.IMG_3893.JPG

The idea began before that, when I had a regular weekend pitch at the Farmers Market in Ely and St Ives, selling home-made sloe gin. The family farm is in Willingham where I grew up and Jona works at Addenbrookes, so this move made sense for us.Kelley_lambs.jpg

Retail is a lot of work but it combines my passion for meeting people, being part of the vibrant Cambridge community and my love of good local food and gardening.

Kelley_veg.jpgLike all small businesses, we struggle to compete with the supermarkets (popping up all over the place) but we have captured sales from the internet and kept one step ahead.

I trade with the local farmers I met back in the Farmers Markets, and we share the profits of the Cambridge Farmers Outlet.
