A record of action - promise of more

Mike Sargeant has a record of community activity in West Chesterton:

  • Gilbert Road cycleway – following a fatality in the road, organised public meetings and actionsports_pavillion_web.jpg
  • A Sports Pavilion for Chesterton Community College – with access for local sports clubs
  • Development behind Portland Arms – worked with local residents to get reduced density
  • Aparthotel on the old Milton Road School site – spoke at the Planning Committee where the scheme was rejected

Mike says: “Through our promise to visit every household, we understand your priorities. If elected in May, I will have even more opportunities to deliver for you. I am already working closely with the leader of the City Deal Cllr Lewis Herbert to improve buses on Milton Road and sort out Mitcham’s Corner.  With County Councillor Jocelynne Scutt, I will strive to stop the domino effect of commuter parking.“
